When posting or creating your signature, you should see a little group of buttons above the smileys that represent different effects you can apply to your text.

There are a few ways to use them:

- Highlight the part of the text you wish to apply the effect and click on one of the buttons.

OR

- Position the cursor in front of the text, click once on the button, position the cursor at the end of the text and click the same button again.

OR

- Type the code for the tags yourself.

All effect codes come with an open and close tag.

Whichever way you choose, you should end up seeing something like this for your text:
[tag] something you typed [/tag]

The first [tag] is the open tag. The [/tag] is the close tag. Note the slash "/" character on the closing tag.

For example, if you wish to make your text bold, follow the code in the box below:
[b]hello[/b]

You can combine multiple tags to create more effects.

For example:
[COLOR=red][B]hello[/B][/COLOR]

When using multiple tags, you should always close the 1st tag last as in:
[1st tag][2nd tag][3rd tag] blah blah blah [/3rd tag][/2nd tag][/1st tag]

Note that in the example above, the 3rd tag is closed first and the 1st tag is closed at the end.

For more examples, click on the "BB Code Help" link just above the box where you type your reply.

Have fun and do use this "Test Zone" to test out all the code tag functions!
