RULES
1) All other forum rules still apply to this forum. The disclaimer refers to correctness of information only--that is, we're not promising that the information in this forum is correct and up-to-date. We are still moderating this forum for rule issues. This means no topics about how to breed hamsters! (Topics on why breeding should be very carefully considered are fine.).
2) Anyone is free to post in this forum. You do not have to be a hamster "expert" or experienced owner to post.
3) Any and all information posted in this forum is subject to constructive criticism. Anyone posting a thread here should be prepared to receive questions, comments, critiques, and even disagreements. If you are not prepared for people to disagree with you or question your ideas, do not post here. Authors are expected to respond gracefully. Throwing temper tantrums because someone disagrees with you will result in having your article locked or deleted.
4) All critiques must be positive, friendly, and tactful. Bear in mind that someone worked very hard to write that article you're reading. Don't just tear an article apart and say that it's wrong--ask questions and have discussions! Be encouraging! Maybe you'll learn something new as well! Posting rude or overly blunt criticisms will result in consequences, including having your posts edited or removed.
5) Know when to walk away. There are always going to be different viewpoints on topics, and that's something we want to encourage discussion about. However, when each side is repeating the same thing over and over again...it's kind of pointless. Agree to disagree, and simply move on once nothing new is being brought to the conversation.
6) Repeated topics are allowed! Anyone can write an article on any topic, even if it has been done a billion times before. It's not fair to say that one person is allowed to write a topic on wheels, and then no one else is.
7) Do not plagiarize other works. If you post something here, it should be your work in your own words. Cite all sources properly (includes sources on and off the forum).
8) No You-Tube links. As per our general guidelines, You-Tube links are only allowed in places designated "You-Tube videos" allowed.
