Hey guys x

So last year near December I dyed my hair(first time dying) a soft black, I used the Revlon colorsilk hair dye and after one wash using the proper hair dyed shampoo made for dyed hair and using cold water my hair bled out and the black came out until I was left with my brown hair sticking out underneath and it looked dirty and some spots were dark. (Before I dyed my hair) I waited a few days to get my hair oily and then dye it and I even kepty it on for an hour and it didn't last even 3 days, it was a permanent dye. So I redyed it a few weeks later and I used the renew natural black, and I finished washing my hair a few hours ago now and the color seemed to have faded a bit but it's still quite black, but I just read that this hair dye has ammonia hair dye in and it stained my skin so bad not even nail polish remover got it off but it made my hair the color I wanted it, so I was wondering if anyone knows a hair brand that lasts long and is ammonia free and keeps your hair in a better condition than other dyes. :) X

I don't know if it's ammonia free but I use schwarzkopf live colour and even though the colour bleeds for a few washes it doesn't stain badly and you're still left with plenty of colour in your hair after. They have all kinds of colours, from black to white to bright pink! It's so fun to experiment! It comes with it's own little conditioner pouch to use and leaves your hair soft and shiny :veryhappy: I'll never use anything else!

Oooh. Ok. They don't have black, sadly, but there's this thing called oVertone and it's 174% amazing. It's a super strong conditioner that has colors in it, and you let the conditioner soak into your hair, and the color goes along with it. I used it to color my ends a raspberry shade (since I didn't bleach it, the color isn't the truest it can be, they recommend bleaching your hair before you use any of their conditioners.) and I absolutely adore it. It is a little pricy, but it is so, so worth it. My hair never fades out, the conditioner smells so good, it's all vegan and never tested on animals. C O M P L E T E L Y  amazing. Don't know why I sound like a little girl or why I'm telling you this since you don't want rainbow colors, but I thought I'd just get this out there for all those unicorn-haired peeps.

Ok it's too late, but my experience with oVertone has been COMPLETELY different. I have brown hair, which is bleached in some parts, and my mom and I were excited to find a treatment that "worked on all hair types". So we ordered it and put it in and it didn't work. All it did was go everywhere and it stained everything BUT my hair. Even the bleached parts retained no color, and the conditioner didn't end up conditioning my hair, it just made it brittle.
