Hi all HH Members,
New Rule:
With immediate effect, there will be no more pointing out of "someone's cage is too small" if the subject of their topic has nothing to do with the hamster's home. This is prejudiced behaviour and is not in line with HH's vision of providing help to hamster owners from all backgrounds and cultures without discrimination.
First offenders will be given a reminder. Warning points will follow if the member persists in said behaviour.
Exceptions:
The only instances where you can provide a personal recommendation on cage sizes is when the topic starter:
- Specifically asks about whether the size of their hamster home is adequate or not
- Has housed the hamster in a carrier that is not designed for long term homing
- Asks for helping regarding hamster behavioural problems^ (e.g. relentless bar chewing, unexplained aggression) of which a cage that is too small *may* be a contributor to the problems
Please ensure strict adherence to the new rule which will be added to the HH Rules and Guidelines. This rule will help to open up the forum to more owners around the world who may have previously feared being judged unfairly or been turned off by unsolicited comments. Thank you for your understanding.
Note: Kindly do not start new topics to give your feedback on this rule. They will be removed without notice. Do hit the report button if you see posts violating this rule. Thank you!
Love your hammies!
