I would love to get to know you guys better, so I’m wondering what your favorite movies and TV shows are. I personally am a HUGE fan of good movies and TV shows, as long as they’re worth my time. Lol. So, I was wondering if we have any Stranger Things, Harry Potter, The Office, The Lord of the Rings, Jaws, Alien, Ghostbusters, Pirates of the Caribbean, basically ANYTHING DISNEY, etc. (I’m just naming random movies and TV shows I like) I will probably start making topics like this with questions about your hobbies and favorite things like exotic animal, book, movie, etc.

I love Harry Potter! I prefer the books over the movies but I still enjoy watching the movies. I watch a lil bit of the office but not much. I prefer The Middle, it’s hilarious!

HTTYD is my all time favorite movie!

Did someone say Disney???  Oh my gosh that is where it's AT!!!  If you ever want to nerd out about it, I'm here for it lol.  My favorite movie *might* be The Emperor's New Groove, although it's a hard choice.

Does anybody remember the Disney Fairies series with Tinker Bell?  I feel like no one talks about them, but they were like my childhood.  Fawn is probably my favorite character, in case anyone cares.

I also do love Stranger Things, even though it's pretty spoopy.  I love the ethereal aspects of it and I am so invested in pretty much all of the characters *cries in all of the dead characters*.  Not to be dramatic, but I would die for Dustin.  Steve's pretty great too- what a character arc!

Does anyone have thoughts on season 3?  I didn't really like it as much as the other two, but it's still pretty good.  I just felt like Mike and El were a little weird and Will was totally sidelined. :/  Although I do love Alexei (what an adorable human!) and that bit involving The Neverending Story (lol trying not to give spoilers).  I hope season 4 will come out soon, though, but who knows what'll happen what with Corona and everything.

(Btw, fair warning to the younger members of this forum that are thinking about watching it- it's kind of gory and there is some language in it, plus it can get really freaky.)

Harry Potter is also just the best, being a proud Hufflepuff with a lynx Patronus and also a wand with a phoenix feather core.  I'm the kind of person that doesn't reread books, though, so I've probably forgotten a lot about it.  I remember how much I loved reading it, though... I feel like I haven't read a book/book series that was nearly as good since I finished the Deathly Hallows. :(  However, I don't really approve of JK Rowling herself- in case you didn't know, she's been trying to convince her audience that her characters are more diverse than what she actually wrote them to be, plus recently she's been saying some pretty insensitive stuff on Twitter.

Okay okay, one more.  Back to the Future might just be the best movie trilogy ever.  I love the story- how it's set in the 80's and also the overall concept of the whole thing (as you may have gathered, I gravitate towards things within make-believe genres lol).  It's not afraid to really explore the concept of time travel, plus I love all of its running gags (even though they're a little cheesy :) ).  Also, the score is actual fire ohmygah.  In case you're a fan, I would recommend watching the interview Josh Gad did with the cast on YouTube.  It was super interesting.

O. M. G. I loved those fairy movies! They were totally my childhood! Lol.

yesssss! Dustin is my favorite character! I also LOVE Erica (so sassy, but so sweet and smart), Steve is awesome (he’s a single mom, and he’s great), Hopper, Eleven, and basically every character, but Mike. Is he annoying to anybody else? Not trying to be rude. The actor (Finn Wolfhart) is great though. I agree with you about Mike and El and Alexi.  It’s official that there is another season coming. Season three was probably my favorite, but it’s coming pretty close to the other 2.

Yes, Harry Potter is awesome! I’m a Ravenclaw and my patronus is a St. Bernard dog! Love those btw. My favorite character has gotta be Ron! Especially in the first few movies (1-3), his nervous squeal when his wand breaks his wand is hilarious! The insensitive stuff is actually saying that she won’t support things like LGBTQ+ because she believes that it says that people like I’m not sure if I can say this on this forum. If you’re younger, then skip this part. That people like petifiles will say things like, “Being a petifile is just who I am, and you can’t change that.” Which is extremely wrong! It’s not ok to be a petifile. It’s very different from being LGBT+. I’m not defending her. This doesn’t mean it’s ok for her to say those insensitive things on Twitter. She is pretty brilliant though.

Back to the Future is a great movie! (And series) I’ve been watching it since I was 6 years old! I love it! It can be cheesy, but it’s from the 80’s. Lol.

I also LOVE The Simpsons! Have you seen that? It’s hilarious! They basically just make fun of humanity....and I LOVE IT!!!!!! If you are the appropriate age to see this, you should try to watch it! It’s great! We seem to have the same interests, so you’ll probably like it if you do watch it.

Thanks for the reply!

O. M. G. I loved those fairy movies! They were totally my childhood! Lol.

Yaaay someone else remembers!!!!  I'm so sad that they were discontinued, I would totally still be watching them.  It *seems* like they were planning on making a miniseries series of movies dedicated to the different fairies in Tink's gang- I feel like they were starting it with the Neverbeast, since the movie is focused around Fawn.  Maybe fans just didn't like it (I can kind of see why... they totally changed Fawn's character and dressed her more girly and less tomboy-ey. I wouldn't want them to ruin the other fairies two!)

I also LOVE... basically every character, but Mike. Is he annoying to anybody else? Not trying to be rude. The actor (Finn Wolfhart) is great though.

Yeah, he gets kind of whiny sometimes.  Especially in Season 3 ewwwwww (sorry, I'm not trying to totally bash 3, but I admit I do have a few issues with it haha).  Also, don't worry, it's not rude to say you dislike a fictional character!  It's not like they care anyway lol.

I'm actually a little worried for Finn Wolfhart.  He's been doing pretty much only horror movies, and that's probably going to get him type-casted down the line (eg. people won't think he would act well in other genres/roles), especially since he's working in such a specific genre this early in his career...

I'd say that 1 beats out 2 by a little smidge, but then 3 falls further behind.

No, I haven't actually.  Maybe I should give it a watch! :-D

Yes! Lol. I know, what I meant was, he’s great at acting, but he wasn’t my favorite character of them all. Lol. It was pretty cringy. Yeah! You should try it! It’s all on Disney+, but the newest season is on Hulu.

Oh, how I love Disney movies and Tom and Jerry. I'm probably even obsessed with watching them. From Disney, I like the TinkerBell fairy the most, this is my children's cartoon, and I still review it. From Tom and Jerry, I only watch the old series, I don't like the new ones either in terms of graphics or content. Unfortunately, now their series are making things worse, and the old one is unforgettable and the best! I even have disks with them, but they don't work, and I'm happy with the view on https://fmovie.vip, where it's free. It's good that you can watch old and my favorite childhood cartoons on the service. I also like Harry Potter, but I prefer it more when reading a book.

I'm a big fan of movies and TV series so I can say a lot about it. For me, TV has a significant meaning that has an important place in my life. That's why I use Oka Mirror for Chromecast, which is an important tool for watching TV. That's why I share similar secrets that help me solve similar problems with watching movies on the big screen. I didn't know it was even possible before, but now I love the way TV is developing.
