What are your opinions on online school? Do you like it? Do you hate it? I personally don’t like it at all. I know that a lot of students are going/have already gone back to school but what did you think of online? :)

I am cyberschooled/homeschooled and have been for 3 years. I really like the cyber school I am in, and it isn't very hard. Plus I can take breaks when I want, and even go out in the middle of the day to where ever :)

Me, too lol.

I really enjoy homeschooling. I am in an online school program, but one negative to homeschooling is that you don't have due dates in programs like the one I'm in. So, basically, if I let myself, I can get behind really easily. This year, I fell behind by quite a bit by neglecting my school, so I'll be working through the summer. But honestly, I don't even mind. If you can believe it, I'm glad that I have school through the summer, I really like school

I'm personally fine with online school. I mean, you get easy access to your house, and you get to make any food that you want, y'know? I've also always been homeschooled after public school, so I usually get a head start on homeschool which can take a while. ( But exceptions exist: It's 10pm now and I still have science and French to get through, I ran some errands today; but nevertheless it's earlier than the time it would have been when I was in in real life school ).

I've actually always wanted to be homeschooled completely; essentially the only reason I go to public school in the first place is for social experiences, and quite frankly all it does is make me busier after school. But, I wasn't allowed to due to social reasons, and I kind of got that experience over the summer because we didn't travel, and I stayed at home doing.... homeschool all day. It made me realize I still do enjoy public school.

I'm very surprised by how many people on here are homeschooled. Is it much more common in North America?

Some of my cousins are homeschooled and it seems to work pretty well for them but it's quite uncommon in the UK.

I’m actually kinda surprised too :P

Not sure about other places but in my province it’s not too common. Most students attend in-person school but there are some who are homeschooled.

In some ways I love online class-less interaction, Jack cuddles, and in general asynchonrous is great, too.

I also hate it sometimes-I struggle wiht paying attention online, so I can be on BoredPanda reading comics when I should be leanring about the difference betgween a quadrilateral and a paralellagram, but some days I can't even watch a 3 minute video without feeling brain dead, and other days I submit everything early and feel accomplished. So uh,,, idk.

For homeschooling, I know a LOT of homeschooled people, but even more people who went rom homeschooling to in person.

I honestly don't really care about online school, like I've personally adjusted to it easily. The only thing that is concerning is that I'm wayyyy less productive and get less physical activity and exercise than normal. I also have trouble focusing in class especially near the last two periods..I do get to meet up with my friends now occasionally (with precautions ofc) so socially I'm fine? Sorry this was kind of useless but :)

I'm homeschooled, so there isn't much of a difference with covid, except that I can't spend as much time with my homeschooled friends as I used to. :)

I've done both this year (I guess for about half of it I was online) and it was pretty great for me. No smelly anti-maskers, no quarantining, I used the final "get your homework done" period for food mixing for my business, no long walks from ap bio to public speaking, and constant food! I will say though it was kind of hard to get involved in class, and giving presentations was kind of terrifying since I had literally no idea who half the class was lol. I think I prefer being in person just because I find being actively involved in class to be the easiest way for me to learn, but I wouldn't be complaining if I had to be online. I would only complain if I had to only do asynchronous work...we had it for the end of the year last year and once a week this year and I just hate it. It's not that I don't have the time or motivation to do it, I just don't learn very well through reading or worksheets, which is what those days end up being for most classes. I guess that's college though lol so I'll have to get used to it sooner or later.
