I was online for grad school the past two and a half semesters. It's been fine for me, I feel like the hardest part is that there is no time to like chit chat with others before class and develop friendships and whatnot, but also at my age (I'm 24) I've grown accustomed to making friends in different places. I also live with my fiancé (he's been upgraded) so I have a built in best friend, and I have my dog (and hamsters of course), and I'm back to working as well. So I don't feel like I'm struggling. I've also been really fortunate, neither mine nor my fiancé's family were hit terribly by the pandemic (everyone's in medicine or academia so there was good job security), the worst thing that happened professionally was I had an internship that was canceled at the beginning of the pandemic, but because I lost that one, I was able to find another that I'm an even better fit for.
That being said, a lot of people close to us have been struggling a ton with staying motivated and whatnot, we've had friends who have been laid off (thankfully they bounced back quick), we have lost people close to us from this virus, and we've had to make difficult decisions that will probably impact future familial relations (covid politics are wild).
That being said, things are finally beginning to go back to normal. We're both fully vaccinated now as of last week.
