Hello!

 

 

We're doing essays in class, and I wanted to do something about hamsters, pet care, that sort of stuff.

We have to do it in English....so this will be a challenge ahhh

 

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas? It's persuasive essay.

Also if you have any links that I could take quotes from that'd be great <3

 

I was thinking about maybe doing 'why hamsters need deep bedding' and use the information from the german study....but I can't find that website....help?

Why don't you do about why hamsters need at least 450 sq in (according to Victoria Rachael) or why you should spot clean not clean out the entire cage maybe why you should stop supporting pet stores. I just thought a deep layer of bedding sounded a bit errr............... boring

I disagree with the first one-its not really a need (okay-you need a large cage, but 450 is not a minimum) or official, just a random number people toss around. An essay should be based off of facts and studies, not opinions or according to one Youtuber

I do not want to argue but I would say that 450 sq in is not ideal BUT it is ok  ish. I would say it is better than using tiny cages. Also Victoria Raehel is very knowledgeable and she learnt to care for hamsters properly on hamster hideout. Also saying 800 sq in is the minimum to your teacher is not going to beleive you after seeing the tiny cages at the pet shop.

I don't think it was meant to discredit VR. It's just simply better to get different opinions from more resources than just one person. Many people here are as knowledge, if not more knowledge, than Victoria Racheal. She just happens to make youtube videos While she's definitely good for research, she should not just be your main source of info. Just as one person on here should not be your main source of info.
