It's frustrating seeing people give incorrect care to their hamsters. It's even more frustrating seeing people give incorrect care advice to uneducated people. But ranting about it on an online forum where everyone already knows these things are bad isn't going to prevent those people from giving their hamsters bad care, politely helping them will.
Here's some ways I did help people at least improve some of their care.
1. Go to a social media and politely answer questions that other people have about hamster care. Quora (an online forum) has many people asking questions about proper hamster care. You can spend so much time politely explaining to people on proper hamster care on sites like those rather than ranting about bad care. But please be kind, you're more likely to have someone listening to you if you're polite.
2. Starting your own website. You can start your own website that explains how to properly care for your hamster. The more websites about proper hamster care there are, the better. Again, please don't go hating on brands, just educate people, you're more likely to help.
3. Asking pet stores if they want help. You can also ask your pet store if they are interested in you writing care guides for their pets. You can state that you have many hamsters before and can help them write a care guide or you can even become an employee there and educate people on proper hamster care! (For instance, you can direct potential hamster owners to this forum or to some great youtube channels/websites) And as I have stated in my other 2 points, please be kind while doing this.
There's so many ways to educate more people on proper hamster care rather than ranting about it somewhere where people already know about it. Politely educating people about proper hamster care is going to be more helpful than ranting. Hope this helped anyone and have a great day! : )
