I'm wondering if anyone has any pictures to share of a Platsa/Double Billy/Double Detolf cage? I've never seen these used much and it interests me!

Aspien said she'll upload some pics of the platsa, though that was a while ago. I assume she's just busy which is fine and I don't want to bother her :)

I don't know anyone with double billy though do know ErinsAnimals has a video about hers

I didn't know you can have a double detolf, though I don't know anyone with that cage I'll be interested to see if they do!

Hey, this napkin holder can work quite well, either turned upside down to make a hideout or the “right way up” for something like a sandbath. The handle part, which can be used as a door, is fairly small/low so I wouldn’t use it for a Syrian unless modified. There are two sizes I believe, I think I use the biggest size. I’ll see if I have any pictures of it!

Edit: here are some pics

Spoiler

Thank you so much Zula! And little Zula (your hamster) for posing, she's so cute!

No problem, glad to be of assistance!

I also use the tea light holders and used to use the plastic version of the knuff. I’m away currently but when I get back I can take some pictures, or I could ask my Grandma (she’s looking after Zula) to take a picture of the water bowl and send it to me for you to use if you like!

I love how versatile (is that the word?) IKEA is, unfortunately I haven’t been in Zula’s lifetime due to covid but, I would always be like “oooh, this could be so useful, or Timber (one of my rainbow hams) would love this! Or if I turn this round it could be used as [insert item].” It is honestly one of my favourite shops. And fingers crossed, I should be able to go soon in preparation/research/brainstorming for my big cage upgrade next year. :veryhappy:

I was planning on a single. A double is, unfortunately, too big.

I’ve been looking for a post like this for ages! Thank you for writing it :) Just thought I’d something I didn’t see mentioned- The Tavelan trays make great digging boxes for different substrates- I use the larger one as a sandbath and the other for coco husk :) They’re made of bamboo and are great for naturalistic enclosures.
