Nobody feels like themselves 100% all the time, just because you don't feel like a girl 100% of the time, doesn't mean you aren't a girl. It just means you are normal. We have struggles in our lives and I find the best way to get out of something like a depression or feeling down about yourself is to focus on things outside yourself.

Like find someone who is less fortunate than you and find a way to help. Maybe instead of a emotional support animal, volunteer at a shelter. You aren't nobody, you are somebody that can make a difference in someone else's life. Even if it's just a one time thing.

Those moments in my life where I went out of my way to help someone still stick with me, the gratefulness in their eyes and that feeling lifted like, I'm not alone when I am helping someone else.

Hi, I’m sorry you’re going through a tough time

Have you heard of agender? It means being “genderless” or not identifying with any particular gender, which sounds a bit like what you’re describing in your post. I thought it might be helpful to make you aware of it, though I don’t want you to feel pressured into figuring yourself out or using any labels. Like Kikya said, you are you, you’re normal and valid and that’s enough.

Do you have anyone you can talk to about your mental health, like a school counsellor? I think it would help to talk through your eating disorder and the things that are making you anxious, and work towards overcoming them.

I completely agree that volunteering can be a really great way to improve mental wellbeing, but I think we should acknowledge that OP has mentioned being socially anxious, so volunteering at an animal shelter might not be a comfortable/easy solution.

That being said, avoiding things that make you anxious will only make your fear of them worse, so MidnightHammy, if you feel like volunteering is something you can handle, I think it would be a great way to push you out of your comfort zone while getting to spend time with cute animals <3 If not, start small. Go on walks in less busy places until you feel more comfortable with it, and work your way up to bigger social situations. Wishing you all the best.

I often hear from people that life is not fun for them, they lack motivation. I was in that state myself recently. Only Motivation - Calmerry helped me to understand myself, and together we found ways to solve the problem. I liked the fact that I got expert help from the comfort of my own home. Online therapy is becoming popular these days and a lot of people need it.
