Hi ChloesCritters,
Settling into a routine can be difficult, and it takes at least 3 weeks for something to become a habit that sticks - saying that, it totally depends on what your schedule is like! Depending on your classes I would say a good routine for a school/college/uni should include waking hours anywhere between 7am - 10pm. Allow yourself enough time to get yourself going in the morning e.g. time for a shower, some breakfast so that you're fuelled up for the day; and then when you're finished with classes for the day ensure you have time to have a good dinner and at least an hour or so to wind down at the end of the day before going to bed.
As a note though, what might work really well for some people, may not work at all for you. For example, my "routine" for my own work days involve waking hours from 5am - 11pm because I have to account for transport to and from my workplace, alongside 12 hour shifts. As long as you are getting enough sleep, are ensuring you have at least 3 meals a day and have at least an hour to wind down and do something fun, everything else can be worked around.
Good luck with your routine, I hope you find something that works for you!

Well, first off, can you list for us what your absolute necessities are, eg. "I must be in work/school at 8.30am and the journey is 30 minutes", "I work/am in school for 8 hours", etc.
Then we build up around that inflexible part. That's the bit you can't change, you can work around the rest.
Personally, for example, I like to literally roll out of bed, put clothes on and go out the door to arrive at lessons with a minute to spare. I brush my teeth while I'm putting my shoes on and do makeup while packing my bag. In the evening I like to spend an hour or so on prep for the next day, just so I know it's out of the way, then I spend a few hours cooking, eating the food while watching TV, then a nice long bath. Next day, easy: fall out of bed, grab stuff, straight to lessons
Others would hate this and would prefer to get up a couple of hours earlier in the morning to have a shower, get prepared, have breakfast etc. I don't do this
