well I do know that Shakespeare is an example of meter. I am pretty sure it means they have the same amount of syllables or the same emphasis on the same syllables.
Not gonna lie, I haven't thought about poetry since... 7th grade... but I believe this is right.

My teacher said we should have covered it few years ago but I don’t really remember that. Because he said we should remember some he was suuuupppppeeeeerrrrr vague and only gave us an outline. Thank you for the help

Any type of meter or a specific type? Meter is the rhythmic structure of a line of poetry.
