Hi! Just adopted a baby dwarf this Tuesday(named him Tubby).

I've been keeping tarantulas for years but new to this whole hamster stuff 

I'd love to share stories and photos with other hamster lovers. Hamsters are such cute little creatures!

The cage looks mostly good, it probably could use more paper bedding (at least 7-8 inches), and more toys, and hides and enrichment over all. Otherwise good job

 I'd recommend adding at least 8 inches of bedding and crowding the cage more. Your enclosure looks a little small, but I can't tell from the picture. What are the measurements or what size cage is it?

I agree with yuki. Sadly, I could not see the pics because my internet didn't want to work. But I reccomend.....

 

1. Cage Larger than 600 sq in. 

2. 10 inch wheel 

3. 8 inches of bedding in a section

4. lots of toys & hides

5. Checking out Victoria Raechel on YouTube. She has great hamster care videos!

 

I hope all of this information helps & I think your ham will be really happy that he has such a great parent!
