Hi guys! My name is Taylor and I am the proud mommy of a 12-week-old Syrian hammy named Ravioli. He's the first hammy I've owned in 10 years and it's amazing to see how much has changed!
A bit about Ravioli's care:
Cage- 116 qt bin cage from Home Depot
Substrate- Kaytee Clean&Cozy Natural (9 inches), Oxbow orchard grass hay, and ReptiSand for sand bath
Toys: Kaytee Tropical Fiddle Sticks, Chewy grass teepee hide, Kaytee Chewbular tube (fluff removed), Oxbow enriched life 10 in. wheel, Full cheeks windmill hideaway, oxbow enriched life chews, willow sticks, glass sand bath
Diet: Higgins Sunburst, Mazuri Rat&Mouse Diet, Rosewood Naturals Nature's Salad forage mix
Treats 1-2x weekly- Kaytee papaya treats, VitaKraft Raviolos, Kaytee timothy biscuits, millet sprays
He also has a water bowl (which he occasionally pees in-any tips?)
He LOVES to burrow and his sand bath, and has done such a great job in the taming process!
Now a bit about me:
I am 22 years old, live in Texas, and start working towards my master's degree in two weeks! I absolutely love all animals but have always had a soft spot for hammies. I've had seven hams in the past with bare minimum care and now that I have my own income, I can truly spoil my new little man. I plan on getting more platforms/sprays/hides as my budget allows but for now he is off to a great start! Super happy little guy showing no signs of boredom thus far!
