Hi, I gave my robo a pinch of chia seeds because I saw they were safe and I wanted to see if he would like them. After feeding them to him and seeing that he liked them I wanted to see if he could eat the sprouts. While I was searching I came across a post saying that chia seeds can dehydrate a hamster from the inside and that you should soak them first. Is that necessary or can I just feed them to him as is?

Hi. I give my hamster chia seeds sometimes as is. I don't think it's necessary to soak them, but you could do that just to be safe. :)
