Hi so I discovered Willow's two food hoards. And it is a lot and a lot of food and idk what to do. I read on HH that if your hamster is hoarding a lot of food to wait until they finish all the food in their hoard or something but honestly I think it is way more than she should be. And it doesn't seem like it is going down at all. I am thinking of weighing the food if I can with her scale she is getting. So my two questions are what should I do? And also can anyone else post a picture of their Hamster's hoards? I know not every Hamster does the same thing etc. But I wanted to see other people's.

I can’t get a picture now, but Chestnut doesn’t have very much. Hamsters have different personalities, so Willow might just enjoy hoarding all that food. So you can pause regular feeding, but keep checking to make sure she has lots to last her a few days. Willow could be feeling like she has to hoard it all because she feels stressed or scared. But you shouldn’t worry, two big food hoards should last some days. I would like to know how big your hamster’s hoard looks.

She gets very stressed it seems when I take away the bedding on one of her hoards but I def will try and get a picture for you. I would love to show everyone because tbh I am a little concerned especially if she does feel stressed or scared. I hope not but she is going to get a new cage that I am going to buy September 15th or 16th and so hopefully she is much happier going from about 430 square inches to 730 square inches.

I’m sure she will be. But also, she could just enjoy hoarding food, so you shouldn’t worry very much.
