HI so first off I would do shredded paper or something but one we would need a lot more paper, toilet paper or Paper towels and two she does not seem to care for it or shred it herself. So this is going to be long and this is my dilemma so lately the quality of Kaytee Clean & Cozy seems to be going down and we got one from Amazon and it was dusty so my mom went to Petco to get a new one and unfortunately they didn't have any more. So she got this odour control bedding and that was dusty so we exchanged it one last time for some White Kaytee Clean & Cozy and that is pretty dusty and I have to do a full clean out because she is super messy and pooped, etc everywhere and has food everywhere. And I called Kaytee and I was told she can refund me for two bags and that I would go and buy two new bags or one and send her a picture of the receipt and they would send the check in the mail. I could get two new ones sent to me but that would take 10 days and I am afraid it would be the same thing. So she said I could get it at Walmart and it is the same bedding and still Kaytee Clean & Cozy bedding but it is called comfort bedding or something and is cheaper. So she would refund me for this bag too if I understood correctly If it is also dusty. I gave her a certain code that starts with a K and she said would not get anymore bedding with that code. So my dilemma is should I put the rest of the Dusty bedding in her cage when I clean it out or can I leave her without bedding for a few days? I will hopefully be buying it on the 18th. I am at a loss I don't want her to go without but I also don't want to have to have her in Dusty bedding or getting sick. But it seems cruel to me if I take it out until the 18th can multiple people please answer I really really need an answer.

I've never done this, but I've seen people do it.
You basically put bedding in a box, and blend with your fingers, so all the dust flies up, and out of the bedding. I'm sure it will not make the bedding amazing, but better. Better than leaving your hamster whitout bedding

I found this old post from HH here, this is a way of doing it:
Put all your hamsters new bedding when your about to clean out its cage, in a bucket, then take it out side and give it a good shake(not too much that the bedding falls out of the bucket) but this should remove most of the dust in the bedding. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Omg that is an amazing idea! We are going to try that and use the bedding for now. My mom wants me to use the bedding up instead of throwing it away so that's what I am going to do and I pray this really helps.

Great! I hope it works, but no reason iit doesn't 😊Omg that is an amazing idea! We are going to try that and use the bedding for now. My mom wants me to use the bedding up instead of throwing it away so that's what I am going to do and I pray this really helps.
