Oh my gosh - that's terrible! I hope poor Pookie is okay :( is this the same sister who mistreats Bear? I honestly think something needs to be done about it; she can't be allowed to think that what she's doing is right.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, this isn't okay. At all. You really need to do SOMETHING about this, and if you parents won't do anything, then maybe you can escalate it further (threaten her with the authorities??) so that something happens?
Kicking a dog 5 times in the ribs is ANIMAL ABUSE, there's no other way to put it. If you saw a stranger on the street kick a dog 5 times in the ribs then you would call the authorities. If this is actually what your sister is doing then you NEED to do something about it. Just ranting in some minor thread on some minor hamster forum isn't enough. If you're the only one in your family that seems to care about this dog, then you need to do actually do something.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but you cannot just watch an animal be abused, then not do anything. Saying "my parents don't care" and then ranting on a hamster forum isn't doing anything. And just to be perfectly clear: kicking a dog in the ribs 5 times while wearing boots is abuse.
Over here, if you did that in the street and it was seen, you would literally be arrested. As in, that is a crime, with either a heavy fine or even a custodial sentence.
[edit] Just realised that you said "while she thought I wasn't looking"........ so you SAW this? You watched her do it? O.o

Got a loser in my company who worked on the 9th floor... I felt like bishing him
There's always one person in most companies you want to bish. You may find out you are not alone.
