I'm the co-owner of this forum: http://tailstoscales.freeforums.net/

It doesn't have but a couple members yet, but once it gets started, it's nice, at least so I think. :shy: It's a pet forum, not any specific pet but all of them. Dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and the like. It has a few other boards as well just for chatting or having fun, and a status function. Check it out if you'd like!

I made a forum recently! There aren't many members, but I'm hoping it'll be similar to Hamster Hideout in the future. :) It's hamsterknowhow.com/forum/

Please check out my rodent forum and join if you love rodents! It is mainly about mice, hamsters, and rats, but there's a section for any other rodents too! It's a place for rodent lovers to unite!

Hi there im currently making a site about the basics of hamster care (mostly filled with videos) it's not finished yet but you can check it out! Its very convenient and organised! Here it is: https://hugbug8.wixsite.com/hamster-hollow

Looks like you've done a great job compiling some good sources of info! :applause:

Your page "Hamster Details" is looking good.. But I would probably edit some things if you can. Namely the info about torpor and wet tail.

While there does appear to be some evidence to suggest torpor (or something like it) could be linked to food availability (this post goes into more detail) it is typically recognized as a condition caused by extremely low temperatures. Basically the hamster's body is trying to delay the inevitable freezing-to-death.

The paragraph about Wet Tail could also use some editing. I would reference this post about it, and basically say something like "Wet tail is a relatively common bacterial infection found in young Syrian hamsters, and is characterized by XYZ symptoms. [Note that it is not just diarrhea.] If not treated by a qualified vet immediately, Wet Tail can be fatal within 2-3 days."

(The main issues with the original paragraph is that it doesn't differentiate between Syrian hamsters, the only species known to get Wet Tail, and all hamsters. It also claims Wet Tail as the main killer of hamsters; which isn't even true for Syrian hamsters. It is not as common as it can seem from how it is talked about online, despite still being a legitimate concern and an important thing to explain to new Syrian owners.)

We have created a hamster website including a blog and forum. This is NOT a hamster hideout competitor, but we do have a few social features like groups that are not available on HH. Here's a link:
