Hello I'm new to hamster hideout forum I have a question I'm upgrading my cage and is this cage going to be ok it's 39 x 15 inches?
It depends, dwarf or Syrian?

39x15 comes to about 585sq in, which is ethical For a dwarf, I think it could work perfectly, but keep in mind it may be a little small for a syrian.

Personally around 550-650 sq in is where I find that most dwarfs will be happy and content as long as u put enrichment. But for Syrians I recommend 700-800, but remember bigger is always better :)

WOW This was amazing to read! Thank you for taking the time and effort in writing this! I definitely agree that every hamster is different therefore some may be happy in smaller cages while others are only happy in humungous cages! Great job!!
