Ok, 
 anyway back to the talk of ST. With Chief Hopper. It seems like he's a bit odd as a policeman (Cop). Is this just his personality or does he have a mini story arc throughout the series?.  I just find it odd how he turned violent as you wouldn't expect a policeman/cop to be violent.
or is it generally how a US cop/policeman would act.?   Also out of interest is Hawkins a real place in America?

How far are you into the series? I've watched both seasons and I do think Chief Hopper develops a lot as a character. I dunno about what US cops are like, but at the beginning he just seems like the typical middle-aged guy who doesn't really care about his job, but he develops into a really hardcore hero And as for his violence - maybe that's just for the drama? There were some situations where he didn't have much of a choice though - it was either fight or be caught.

The series was originally known as Montauk, because they had started creating the show with the setting the story in real-life coastal town Montauk, New York and nearby Long Beach locations.

They chose Montauk because of its ties with the film Jaws, where Montauk was used for the fictional setting of Amity Island.

I shall reveal nothing about the characters in case you’d rather have learned about them through the show, but for the second question Hawkins is a made up town

I have no clue what's going to happen in S3 but this is what I want to happen (I'm putting it in a spoiler because WARNING: Contains spoilers)...

As much as I'd love Barb to come back, I don't think she will unfortunately because they've made it pretty clear that she's dead :( I'm glad S2 gave #justiceforbarb though.

I hope El goes to Hawkins middle school and all the kid characters can form a super squad. And hopefully El and Will can become friends because so far, every time they've been in a scene together Will has been unconscious :P I feel like the characters would have awesome chemistry because Millie and Noah are friends in real life. Oh yeah - and the writers had better be nicer to Will next season! The poor kid's been through enough already D:

I totally ship Jopper. So I really want them to get together in S3 - especially now that Bob is gone (rip Bob).

But most of all, I hope S3 will have more Mileven because we didn't get nearly enough Mileven in S2 xD I was so miffed that they didn't reunite until the last episode!

Hehe to be honest, since I ship Jopper, I didn't care for Bob that much. Every time I looked at the guy, all I could see was Samwise Gamgee from LOTR XD His death was so horrific and shocking though :( It looked like something out of a zombie movie.

I don't really like Max either. She was really annoying at the start and I felt like her character barely made any difference to the story and was just introduced to the fill the void that Eleven left. And the Lucas and Max relationship was so forced ugh. They definitely don't have the same chemistry as Mileven xD

One question im on S1 E7 and i'm confused a police officer said jonathan assaulted a police officer when was this as all i remember was him getting in a fight and that's why i thought he's in the station?

Well when they had the fight, the police came and tried to break up the fight and Jonathan assaulted the police while the police tried to break them up. I think he should have gotten in trouble for the fight with Steve tho

We watched 2 every day so it didn't last very long.

Hmm I would go with Jonathan and Nancy... Steve just seems kinda.... ya know... but then Jonathan seems kinda.... ya know... Steve doesn't deserve Nancy and Nancy doesn't deserve Steve if that makes any sense XD And I just like Jonathan better. What do you think?

I've actually finished season1 now i'm on S2 E2

 

Is stranger things only on netflix? because some of my friends want to watch it but don't have netflix.  So are there any other ways of watching it?

Also out of interest are Eggos a real US food or is it made up?  because they just look similar to a waffle that's round
