Iโm SO glad you did a section on bin cages! Theyโre a GREAT starter cage or even a permanent cage, if large enough. A LOT of people go on the forum looking for cheap, but large cages. I currently have a bin cage and once the IKEA in my area opens, Iโm getting the Detolf! Thank you for this!

The product dimensions are always taken from the longest, widest, and tallest points of the storage bin. Because of the shape and thickness of the lid + the shape of the bin itself, these dimensions cannot be fully accurate to the amount of floorspace your hamster actually has available. This can also depend on where you make the bedding level and "create" the continuous floorspace.
- The 200qt Stacker has exactly 34"L x 17"W x 17"H of usable space taken from the very interior bottom. This increases gradually, by degrees, depending on how high you make the bedding. But the increase is very gradual. The most you can get is 36"L x 18"W- but at that point you only have about 7 or 8 inches for a wheel and other taller items.
- The 110qt Clearview's very interior bottom dimensions are 26.5"L x 17"W x 12"H (I got confused by the 30"L x 15"W "minimum" spread alongside the 450 sq.in "minimum", whoops) and may increase by degrees as the bedding is made level higher- but the limited height will make that pretty difficult.
- The 116qt Ultra is roughly 26.5"L x 17.5"W x 12"H from the bottom (give or take a few degrees of an inch) and- like the 110qt Clearview- likely can't increase by much or allow a wheel and other tall items at its maximum floorspace.
I haven't measured the 120qt EZ Carry yet and I can't find any mention of its interior measurements. Usually I double check the Q&A answers from the Sterilite brand customer help account, which takes either digging through hundreds of identical questions or struggling with no questions at all. This was a "struggling with no questions at all situation". But considering the volume & height compared to the Clearview and Ultra Sterilite bins, I can't imagine it could have much more than either of them. And because of the height I imagine it would actually have less interior floorspace than the shorter options with similar volumes.. likely explaining why it isn't a super well known bin cage despite being relatively tall and cheap.
This response is a complete downer, sorry all.
** because the thread has emojis in the title, liking or quoting this post breaks my notifications for a little bit. No harm no foul- I'm on a laptop so I can just open them in another window until I have enough normal notifications to "cure" it- but I'm just adding this on for future reference.

The Sterilite 120qt EZ Carry was the first bin cage I ever used. I recognize that green lid since I had to look at it every day in my living room, haha! It was the largest bin they had at Walmart at the time I went. Once they got the Sterilite 200qt in stock I upgraded. I think the 200qt is a great sized cage even though the measurements are deceiving. It's definitely NOT 838 inches of floor space. As stated above, the measurements at the bottom of the cage are much less. I really recommend it though if anyone is interested in a bin cage! It is only about $23, plus $1.50 for zip ties and $8 for wire mesh, you can make that into a cage for about $35 with tax.
