Has anyone else read the book The Giver? It is AMAZING. It’s my favorite book. It’s actually the only book that I’ve been able to read over and over again. Even books that I really enjoy (The Maze Runner, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, any of the Warriors books, etc) I just can’t read again because it’s too boring for me. But The Giver is different. I even like the movie as much as I like the book. I think the changes they made really impacted the story in a good way (except for the forced romance between Fiona and Jonas that was nonexistent in the book). Anyway, if you haven’t read it I would highly recommend it (and it’s sequels but not quite sequels Gathering Blue, The Messenger and Son).

The giver is awesome! It is just such a different take on sci fi. I would definitely recommend looking at other of the the authors books, she has so many! But my favorite written by her is called “Gossamer” it is sooo good!

This is so late, but I LOVE THE GIVER!

We read in in my English class. :D I've almost finished Son, the last book in the quartet.

Apparently Lois Lowry gets hate for her books, and I don't get why because I think they're amazing!

Matty is my favourite character.  :)

I've read them all. The Giver was required reading at some point. I don't know if it still is. I think Gathering Blue is my favorite but they are all good.

Definitely still is required here- in 5th grade I believe we had to read them all.
