So, I have recently decided to listen to the whole Hamilton Playlist. I finished, and I wanted to make a topic to do a bit of a rundown to get others opinions, and so that if anyone is considering listening to/watching it, they'll have another opinion, haha. I'll probably do a song or two (or three, in order) whenever I have time. I hope you guys enjoy!

 

*Full disclosure-Any curse words will be bleeped/removed/edited. I wouldn't recomend Hamilton to any especially young people because there is a medium amount of cursing (with a few F-Bombs here and there), as well as some situations that probably aren't very good for younger people. That being said, its a great play, and nothing here is (IMAO) innapropriate, depending on how you view curses-If you're under 13 please, ask an adult before listening to, or at LEAST watching it

 

So, Alexander Hamilton, eh? Its....... Well, for starters, its the intro. Here are the lyrics (CURSE WARNING)-

Alexander Hamilton

 

This song introduces you to Alexander Ham (I'll call him AH), who is the main character. He is an immagrant from Charlestown, Saint Kitts and Nevis. His father left him, mother died of illness. His new gaurdian commited suicide, and eventually, he gets on a ship to NYC, the money raised from people in his area. It introduces his friends, as well as 'The Fool That Shot Him' (Arron Burr). More or less, its a good rap that really deserves more merit for the lyrics, though the endings kinda shaky. It gets more interesting later on, I promise! Enjoy

I love  Hamilton, my fav song is congratulations which was cut from the musical, but it is SO GOOD

Why shuddering in regret?

middle school is just a very regretful time. in hindsight, so is highschool though. hamilton just reminded me of middle school becasue i think it came out my 8th grade year or something? and it was very popular, needless to say there were very odd kids who were very very into it. it was a very weird time.

Young AH seeks out AB at a bar. They talk in a mediocre rap, and Burr teaches him his fundamental of life-Talk Less, Smile More. They also meet there friends, John Laurens, Lafayette, And Hercules Mulligan*. There both orphans. They rap, and more or less, NOTHING HAPPENS -__-

Again, I SWEAR it gets more interesting later on ;3

 

Though, Honorable mention that AB and AH probably ended up dueling because they were too similar-both orphans and people who shaped america with strong opinions, but also both people who had different views on the world and were hard headed.

 

*I HATE how HM was repressented here. IRL he's a white man who did amazing things, tarred and feathered british soldiers, and worked with his 'slave' (legally a slave but treated as family) as a spy on the british. He endured so much, but seeing him represented as a sex-crazy drug lord who hangs out at bars or smth, even if this was before he did most of the cool stuff he did with The Sons If Liberty, he did so much and this is one of the few ways people learn about him, so this bothers me on a melecular level.

I mean, Aaron Burr did many amazing things too. Its sad and wrong that he shot Hamilton, but he had no idea that Hamilton would throw away his shot. I also dont think its fair people see him only for his mistakes.

OMGOMGOMGU ARE THE FIRST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET THAT LOVES DEH!!! OMG THO, YES CONNOR DESERVED SOOO MUCH BETTER!!!! MY FAVORITE SONG IS IF I COULD TELL HER BECAUSE ITS SO CUTEEEEEEE.

I still need to read the book, I only read the first part at the book store and I thought that I could get it later. Coronavirus happened!! So I can either buy it online (desperately hope that my parents aren't disturbed i want to read about some guy dying uh i've read similar books they wont mind), read it online, or go to the library or bookstore to buy it.
