Hi! I have thought about going fully vegetarian for a while now! I confronted my mom, she said I had to still eat chicken but thats better than nothing, i guess. -_-

So any tips on making it easier/supplements i should take?

I already don't eat seafood (eww) or beef (havnt since 2 years ago. Cows are too cute), so really it is turkey and pork that really need tips on.

Also, are there any vegetarian foods with a LOT of protien? My dad really worries about that, so if there is any, then link them! Or if there are any vegetarian foods that are like non-vegetarian food (I saw vegan beef jerky and vegetarian chicken nuggets, and vegetarian burgers) then also link thoes because I am happy to try them!

Thank you guys!

I have been  a vegetarian my whole life and my favorite vegetarian meat is probably impossible-plant-burger but there are many other great ones.

eat beans!! there’s also this meat substitute at my work called sofritas and it smells sooooo good so maybe you can try a copycat recipe? it would be delicious on a burrito or tacos, its fried tofu :) https://yupitsvegan.com/copycat-chipotle-sofritas/

I would definitely recommend it! (Btw I’m not a vegetarian but I still like the burger)

If you’re eating enough food, it’s very hard to not get enough protein. :) If you’re not eating fish, an algae (as opposed to fish oil) omega 3 supplement might be a good idea. You can eat foods like walnuts and flax seeds for omega 3’s though, so it’s not necessary. I like using TVP (texturized vegtable protein) in stuff like tacos, spaghetti sauce, etc., because it tastes quite similar (my dad has been swapping out meat for TVP in those foods for months and neither of my brothers have noticed haha). Some parents may not be as willing to change up their meals as mine, so be prepared for possibly having to make your own. :) Lentils and beans are especially great for protein. Some meat alternatives can be rather expensive, but canned lentils and beans are quite cheap. :) Black beans are also great because of their iron content. Adolescent girls tend to need a lot of iron, so black beans are your friend. :)

Couple things:

That's a lot of smily faces :) :3

Also haha when we found all my allergies my parents started substituting a lot of stuff and neither of my siblings would notice unless we said smth then they didn't like the taste
