As someone who has made a song on Mac before, I would recommend using Audacity to put the instrumental you make (you can actually make an instrumental in Audacity but I wouldn't really recommend it since it's a bit limited, but then again im still a semi-noob at it... I would personally just use it to record your voice) and sing with it. You can use noise reduction, etc, etc. That's how I make my covers anyways, lol. I'll have to look into some producing software for Mac but I did find GarageBand. Not sure if it's good or not. :scratchchin:

Make sure the lyrics don’t just rhyme, but they have a melody. A mistake I made a few years back  I’ve written tons of songs but never had the heart to sing any (except one, but it didn’t come out well)...

Vocolo is great for auto-tune... garage band is great for music... etc.

producing is a great hobby to try imao

for macs...hmmm garage band is an easy software to use. it has all general midi elements, recording for vocals is decent and it is very easy to navigate.

for songwriting, personally, I feel that writing songs based on feeling is the easiest way to get your thoughts out. like WW said, DONT try to make your lyrics rhme...it'll end up sounding like a nursery rhyme haha.

i've been producing for about 4 years and songwriting for about 3, so if you need any tips PM me!

hope this helped <3

GarageBand is a great starter! :)

When you get better and want to start producing music more, then a better one is Logic ProX. :) (Logic ProX does cost money tho, where as garageband does not)

Hope this helps you! :)

not neccesarily... i think that rhyming is fine as long as it makes sense and the melodies are good...

take uh joels song for example~

he rhymed the lyrics subtley almost unnoticably because its kinda hidden inthe melodies

eee autotune makes you sound like robot lmao

eeeee i sort of disagree~

you can change the retune speeds, and as long as it isnt too low, it doesnt sound like a robot...

autotune is a great tool, so is melodyne... autotune isnt bad, its useful~

let me know if u know a single big artist (or small artist) that doesnt use autotune... cuz i dont know any ehehehehh

autotune is cool and theres nothing bad to it.

melodyne can also help with pitch correcting and it makes the music more listenable if that makes sense-

yup and garageband is pretty good...

alsoooooo

if u havent checked roomieofficial out, some of his older vids have a lot of stuff on autotune, producing, melodyne, adding backing tracks, etc. :P

and uh yea...

Spoiler

...just a little? Hehe... autotune is best

eheheh yea... ive never used it cuz i dont make music but yea~

Sorry to derail, but may I ask how you make an instrumental?

I'm not her, but making an instrumental is pretty easy.

Basically, you put together all the sounds of the instruments you want for the backing track of your song together. and there you have it. it's basically the instrumental background of a song, without vocals.
