Disclaimer: Sorry, I didn't mean to start an argument :/
However, I personally believe, well, the vaccine is... worth it, because you REALLY don't have to worry any more, or at least worry a lot less. I've had friends with covid, one of them had it in november and she still has trouble breathing if she over-exerts herself too much. Some family members died of covid. But I've not heard of people dying from the vaccine, or at least not valid information....
Anyways, I woke up this morning with my arm really sore and heavy-like, I can barely lift it, not from pain, but just because it feels very heavy... I don't really mind tho, it's fine

I can't get vaccinated yet (heyo, ya'll know how old I am know ) but I may be when I can-Probably Pfizer or Moderna. I do have some relatives who took it and uh, heard some interesting stories about Johnson and Johnson.

I was undecided whether to have the vaccine or not but then reckoned that at my age longterm effects aren't really something to worry about.
Also, my hamsters need me now so had to reduce the chances of catching the virus.

I've got Pfizer. I have a government job (my state's governor decided to remove the mask mandate highly prematurely, and being a public service, we can't enforce a private mask mandate), so despite being only 24, I was able to get my first vaccine mid march through my employer, and was fully vaccinated and protected mid April.
My eldest of my first cousins (only 34 years old) died from covid in January. Was she perfectly healthy, no (she had a long running history of ED and a few mental illnesses), but she wouldn't be dead today if it weren't for this pandemic.
I had (and was vaccinated against-- booster and everything) pertussis (whooping cough) as a teenager and had to miss 3 months of school. I'm incredibly worried that we aren't going to reach herd immunity because of anti-vaxx populations. I already had to suffer once, from preventable illness due to flawed herd immunity (I had my booster on time at 11, but my immunity wavered by 16 apparently); I've had a cough and lessened lung capacity from that since I was 16 (my parents think its funny to call it kennel cough-- I'm also not sure why exactly I do have long term issues from this, my guess is because I got it later in life and typically pertussis is seen more as a childhood illness and is more-so studied in that setting). So covid for me has been really scary given that I've already lived through preventable illness, and already have lasting lung issues. I got the vaccine, and needless to say, selfishly I want everyone around me to have it too so these things can't slip through as easily. I am not prepared to die anytime soon from preventable illness. I've already had one go at it and frankly that was enough.

I'm still thinking about if it's a good choice to get mine sooner or later because of a conflict I'm facing, but I can start registering myself if I would like.
I haven't gotten it yet, but I did put my answer down as Pfizer as that's what I will be getting, and I also put no reaction down only because one, my parents didn't so just because of family genetics I probably won't have too bad of a reaction, and two, the only two options were yes or no xD

I got my first Pfizer dose about 9 weeks ago (in Canada our wait times between doses is 16 weeks). My only reaction was feeling tired and a sore arm, similar to when I had the HPV vaccine. But the government recently announced that urban Indigenous people don't have to wait the full 16 weeks, so I'm getting my second dose next week! I'm so excited to finally see my (immunized) friends and family again.

I think it's good people get to discuss and refute anti-vax conspiracies and rumours I'm sure others on here that feel nervous to take the vaccine because of anti-vaxxers will be relieved to hear from people who have been immunized and read the posts that showed how safe and important it is to be vaccinated.
Also, I had a similar reaction to you with my first dose, it went away in about 48 hours

I got my first dose of Pfizer two days ago I had no side effects except the usual sore arm. My dad is a nurse for people with covid so he got to have the vaccine in December. He got Pfizer. My mom got Moderna in April I think. My dad had no size effects and my mom got a fever after her second dose. Getting covid is SO MUCH WORSE though. My dad wasn’t able to be around us for most of last spring, and he has had to deal with many people dying. I am SO a thankful for the vaccines, as my dad can finally feel more safe.

I am so excited, because I have an appointment to get Pfizer in June:) I am so excited to be able to protect everyone by getting the vaccine! And being able to eat in restaurants was something I missed dearly in the past year. I wish I could get it sooner!

cant get it cause age (in uk you currently have to be 18 (16 if you have severe health problems) and also they are starting from oldest to youngest) but if you can get it, then you should. yes there are some risks as some could say but theres risks to everything you do and in this case the risks are heavily outweighed by the pros so ye, anti vaxxers shush.

I'm still too young - in my province it's only for 40+ in pharmacies or 18+ if doctors note or high spread area. They used to only give pfizer/moderna to everyone, then we got shipments of astrozeneca so then LOTS got that but then the call backs for az happened with the blood clotting.
canada approved 12-16 to get pfizer now and we're supposed to get it after all people 70+ get both doses.

I'll be getting my first dose on Wednesday
The sign-up process was sort of tedious because we had to refresh the page over and over again to book an "appointment" or whatever it is, so yup! but its definitely worth it imo...
and its also (I know not related at all) more effective than a flu shot because it is around 90% effective and the flu shot is like 45% I think o.o
my parents have both gotten the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine :3
so this may not be true, but my dad said that apparently if you eat meat and stuff before getting the vaccine, your symptoms are milder?
lmao I don't know ;3
don't take my words as facts o.o
