So, finished!

 

I'm pretty happy for a first time dye. My sister did it 'cause she's done it before, but next time, I think I'd like to (at least partially) do it by myself. Picked up some Manic Panic Purple Haze from Walmart.

 

The finished product. It's actually quite a bit darker than this, but it wouldn't show up on camera. Next time, I think I'll bleach in order to get the right shade of whatever color I use. The hair on the right side of my head is a bit more accurate color-wise, but in reality, it's still more bluish, less pink. This color is actually what I would've liked to get, maybe a little less pink.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to bleach it once this purple is gone, if I'm allowed to, and then go another color. I'm thinking a blue, purple, or greenish-blue.

One thing you can do if you're wary of bleach, is to just do the tips. First time I did this because I really REALLY wanted a vibrant turquoise was to just bleach the bottom 1-2 inches, then I could do any dye colours I liked when each one washed out, then at the end of the summer (back to work, boooooo) I just had a trim like I'd normally do and cut off 2 inches of bleached hair - no damage to the rest

Ahhhh, I hope you don't mind that I totally stole your idea!!! I'm getting my hair bleached at a beauty school so that I can dye it whatever color I want at home. I'm not really comfortable doing my own bleach, but I think I should be fine to do my own colors. 

 

Anyways, yeah... I'm excited! I'm really sorry I didn't ask you ahead of time if I could use this idea... but I'm assuming since you posted this on the internet for all to see, you don't care.

Huh? What a strange thing to think?? Why the heck would you "ask to use" the idea that I literally started out by saying "One thing you can do is..."?? It's not like I own copyright on people bleaching their hair lol. No, you're right, I invented the idea of bleaching your hair so you can put a colour on top (even though it says to do this on the dye boxes) and now everyone in the world has to ask permission before they're allowed to do this. What a strange idea xD

 

But anyway, that sounds cool, I'd love to see the results!

Best color what I dyed my hair for now is burgundy, I had dark brown hair and wanted to dye into something red or pink to stand out for some reason. This was my first time dyeing my hair and my friend helped me. He is blonde, so she missed to use some lighting shampoo or another things. As a result my hair dyed as unexpected in burgundy color https://create.vista.com/colors/palettes/dragon-color-palette/ and I really loved it for 2 years never changed and for now i keen on it
