hello!

 

i might be able to get a tank soon and it'll be for a betta.

 

i've been thinking about the tetra 5.5 gallon as well as the topfin 5.5 gallon

I was leaning more towards the topfin one as it had the HOB filter which I found out is better than an internal filter. (The tetra one has an internal filter and i also have an older internal filter from previously)

 

Wondering if anyone had any experience with these/what you think of them or if you have another tank of similar size that has a lid could you recommend it below please.

I don't really... like it when people buy kits when you can buy the same sized tank for $30 cheaper lol

If petco is avalible in CA, they sell aquaneo or whatever tanks for, like, $20 USD

If I had the choice I wouldn't buy a kit either :(

 

But there's no just tanks for sale here. There's only 2 PetSmarts within a reasonable driving distance (and even saying that the furthest is almost an hour away) and there's no other stores that ship to here.

My friend is uses 20 gallon fish tank for bettas... And He is very satisfied for this... Maybe you can choose 20 gallon fish tank if you want...

Those look like good tanks.

Another great cheaper option would be buying a used tank.... my 10 gallon was 30$ and it came with fake plants, décor, and tank gravel.
