I have a crazy obsession with Hamilton. I have quite literally watched it at least 5 times this week 

 

I know every word to every song!! Some of my favourites are Helpless, Satisfied, Burn, Guns and Ships, Dear Theodosia, The Reynolds Pamphlet & What Did I Miss! 

 

I've noticed the fandom is super dead nowadays, so I'm trying to find people who share this interest! 

 

I like musicals, but I've only ever seen Hamilton and Shrek the Musical   But compared to other songs I've heard from musicals, I think Hamilton really stands out because it's rap, which is something not commonly found in musicals! It's also hilarious while also being sad and dramatic at the same time!

 

We had "Hamilton Week" in drama class last week, which meant that we just watched Hamilton and discussed it for the whole week which was great! There was actually a handful of people who knew the songs and liked it    Me and my friend were very enthusiastic with our singing, especially with King George's songs 

 

I'm still trying to convince my mom to watch it with me!! My brother's watched act 1 and listened to me sing ALL the songs, and my dad hates musicals so he'd never watch it with me, haha! 

 

Anyways, enough random stuff, if you like Hamilton, reply (if you'd like) with your favourite song(s) and character(s)!!!

I enjoy Hamilton as well! My best friend introduced it to me in 2020 and I listen to it all the time! ( She's working on culturing me with musicals. I've seen Phantom, Le Mis, Newsies, and Into the woods, I should try shrek though! )  Ok, I know its the first one but I enjoy Alexander Hamilton, cause it's fun to sing. I love any of the Cabinet battles, and it's quiet uptown ( even though it makes me cry), and all the ones you listed. What did I miss is SO COOL. I'm in a jazz choir so listening the jazzy harmonies in that song is just * chefs kiss*. 

 

Even though he's a poop for cheating on Eliza, I enjoy Alexander's characterization, and motives. ( i'm still mad at him though). Thomas Jefferson always makes me laugh. And Eliza is so strong and kind. I love Laurens and Lafayette and Muligen ( I'm pretty sure I just butchered the spelling.) I just realized I'm listing almost all the characters, so I'mma stop there and just go with the fact that I love all of them. 

 

Don't even get me started on Lin-Manuel-Miranda. He's SOOO talented.

I've only seen one musical in person-- shrek. LOL! I have hamilton memorized, and I also love DEH! 

hamilton definitely glorifies history, but that's the point because of the perspective. I love the music though!
