So I posted here the other day with the title “90% Sure My New Hamster is Pregnant” she has been nesting an everything but I took the wheel out an everything else today but I’m just nervous because what if I take the wheel out to soon? Is that bad? I really want to make sure she doesn’t cull them. But I do understand that these things do happen. I also do believe she is a first time mom so I believe it’s more of a possibility she will.

I put the wheel back in.. But she knocked over her water bottle. I have a standing water bottle in a bin cage. I picked it back up. She seem to kick a lot of bedding into her food dish. Is that normal??

Kicking the bedding into the food dish is just her moving bedding around, preparing for birth.  But please take the wheel out. Now it seems like this is the last 5-7 days, so she is the most frantic and stressed, and can also hurt herself, and the babies that are still inside her.

I’d say take out the wheel. She’s naturally preparing for birth which does mean kicking around bedding. It’s better to remove the wheel to early rather than too late :)
