Hi guys!

So first, the question: is it normal that my Aslan is a little bit lethargic this summer? He's coming out super late and seems to not be doing too much when he is up. I always see that he gets his food/treats if he has them, and plays around in the sand bath. It's not too hot in the house, but definitely on the hotter end!

NEXT, the cute thing: I put some water on my finger and offered it to him, and ASLAN LICKED MY FINGER! REPEATEDLY! IT WAS SO CUTE and such a funny sensation! AMAZING!

That is a little normal, if you live somewhere were it gets hot in the summer, if not, see a vet. It should be no hotter than 70 degrees in the area you keep your hamster, if it is hotter, that is dangerous!
Also my hamster does to, it's so adorable right!

I wouldn't worry too much unless it gets really hot 80-90s. My hamster room is 77 right now and it's not too bad in there. They will probably drink more water though when it's hot. In the summer especially, I make sure to change the water daily or watch the levels just in case.

And that is super cute! Little hammy tongue!

So everyone says to have it be no where above 70 but if it feels cold in my house and thermostat reads 73 or 74 then it’s probably fine right?

Yeah probably, just don't let it exceed 80 degrees.
