Is garden cress safe? Is the whole plant safe to put in a cage? I have seen some mixed opinions on it. Thanks!

Cress is safe, but it's sometimes grown along with mustard which isn't safe, so make sure it's only cress. As it's a bit spicy some hamsters might not like it. I'm not sure if I've fed it to hamsters before but my gerbils like cress.
