I have a Syrian in this cage, but it its connected to another cage,a 106qt bin its around 434 sq inches from the base, and with bedding, like 453 sq inches,I know dwarves need at least 430-450 sq inches and Syrians at least more than 500 sq inches, but chinese? Because when my Syrian dies I wanna get a Chinese, because robo are very fragile, and dwarves like campell are very prone to diabetes, and Syrians normally grow a lot (my Syrian it’s small, but all my other Syrians were more big) and my wheel it’s only 21 cm or 8 inches. Also I’m gonna get a hegdehog that needs more space so I’m gonna have less space,

Hi,
I would think that is to small, I would recommend at least 550 Sq inches of floor space ( Instead of 450) for any species of hamster. Though if that's your only option available, you can make it work, though make sure you have a large enough wheel, deep enough bedding, and a lot of enrichment. I know you said you had an 8 inch wheel, I would recommend larger if you can :)

Hope this helps,

Chinese hamsters are also prone to diabetes so if you don’t want a hamster that is prone to diabetes I would not recommend a Chinese hamster.

Chinese hamsters like to climb on things more than other hamsters. I'm not sure that enclosure has enough height for a Chinese.

What about a Robo or a dwarf?

From what I’ve heard bins aren’t the greatest thing for Chinese dwarves (may not be correct though). I would stay with a smaller species with the size you have available to you.

If you really wanted to, I think you could try and make it work, but I'd very much recommend getting a bigger cage.

I’m trying to get a robo but in petco I think there are only hybrids and Syrians, also almost all refugies here I know are only for dogs and cats, and the others are super far away
