Hello, I am planning on upgrading Hamilton's 50 gallon bin cage to something larger and I found this bin, https://www.walmart.com/ip/IRIS-Tree-Storage-Tote-Green-Lid/942008952it seems pretty spacious but I just need to wait until the holidays when it is available. Is this a good upgrade or is there something better that is affordable?

It's not that much bigger than the 50 gallon, and you'll lose cage height, so it may become harder to fit in the wheel (if it's on a platform or it's a larger wheel).

The 50 gallon bin is about the biggest clear bin you can get, especially since the Christmas Tree bin is only about 12 inches tall. I believe it's meant to go under a bed. You can find sometimes a 75 or 100 gallon bin but they are not clear, usually black, if that matters to you.

Honestly, after my 50 gallon bins, I upgraded to a Nite Angel Large. I know it's a lot of money but personally I think saving up for it is worth it. It's 4ft by 2ft and you can use it for pretty much any hamster. Syrian, dwarf, robo, chinese. The Nite Angel medium isn't that much of an upgrade from the 50 gallon bin, slightly bigger but not enough to justify the cost, imo.
