:cop: This is a new rule which will be implemented with immediate effect: :cop:

HH members below 18 years old are not allowed to post the following personal info about themselves on any part of HH (including PM, post, signature, chatroom, user profile):

- photograph of themselves, their friends and family members;
- last name (or surname) of member;
<Note: We noticed that the MSN email is usually a person's first and last name, therefore we also urge members not to show their MSN email if this is the case.>
- contact number;
- address;
- name of school;
- pictures of their external residence.

Links to your personal homepage providing the above info will also be prohibited.

If the mods come across any of the info, they'll send you a gentle reminder to remove it. If the info is still not removed after 3 days, your profile will be edited. Failure to comply after several reminders will warrant a suspension of your HH account.

Sorry if we sound naggy or overly sticky on this, but the internet is not as safe as it should be and here at HH, we value and protect the well being of our young members. Thanks in advance for everyone's understanding and cooperation on this matter! :)

to add on to this, we also discourage members below 18 years old to meet up with forum members they have not met before without the company of a parent or guardian.

HB, I just want to let you know that as a parent, and a concerned adult, that I stand behind you 100% in your decision. I think that this is an absolute good decision on the part of HH to keep our younger members safe.

Because, unfortunately, the world isn't all a bed of roses....and things happen out there that shouldn't....our children and members aren't naive, they know this....but why should they have to experience it here! Children deserve a fun and safe place to visit and become part of a community.

Thank you for taking this stance!

Great rules! Kids need to safe. There are way to many wackos out there. The world isn't all fun and joy.
Lol I was going to post a suggestion about kids posting pics of themselves, but that has already been done. Do they need a parent's permission? I was going to suggest kids not be allowed to post pics of themselves, with, or without parental permission. It isn't safe no matter what. :) Sorry to be a nag. I mean no offense to anyone.

Yes, Mr. Bobo...you would need to remove the link to your school.

Thanks for your understanding!

Yes, you can post pictures of the inside of your room..because no one would be able to tell where you lived by the picture.

If your website has any personal information as listed above...then no you cannot link to it from within HH. If it does not contain personal information about yourself, then you can link to it!

Hope this info helps!

External means outside, so you can post pictures of your bedroom. :)

I have a question~ would it be OK to post pics of people if the faces are blurred out? I'd like to post pictures from my sister's wedding, but I don't want to break any rules. I would do something to take out the faces. :)

sure, as long as faces or other distinguishing features can't be seen clearly. you may blur out the faces or show the back view of people. :)
