Okay I got another question: pomegranate, is the seed inside them toxic or anything? I ask because that fruit is nice and dry to feed them and they can hold it well, no mess like the banana/kiwi/mango etc I can try to cut out the white part of the pomegranate piece but that would make it messy thus defeating the point really... then again is feeding fruit more of a cute thing to do anyway since they are better off with their mix + veggies anyway

Is this food chart updated and current? I linked it to a few people on a facebook group because I think it's a fantastic reference. But I had a Mod tell me it was unreliable and out of date. But she couldn't actually tell me what was wrong with the chart.

Looks perfectly fine to me. Some suggest not feeding fruits to dwarfs these days due to them being high in sugar and unnecessary to feed. I mean, it’s healthier sugar, but sugar nonetheless, and a tiny piece of fruit to you can be a lot for a tiny hamster. I think both sides are fairly valid.

Other than that though I see no issue with it. Maybe they took one look at the site’s design and said “too old”? xD

Thank you. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. The fruit this is a hot button debate subject, but sugar alone doesn't cause diabetes and so long as it's in moderation same as with people.

If I throw in a peanut do I have to first boil it unsalted or can I just drop it in raw? I remember reading somewhere that it shouldn't be raw. This is for robos by the way, as I hear them needing to open it up for the treat is a good time killer.

If you bought it at a store vs growing it yourself, it shouldn't be "green" which is what they call it when it's freshly dug from the ground. They still call them "raw" peanuts on the labels, but they aren't truly raw in a sense, because they've been processed.

Raw peanuts at the stores in the US are most of the irradiated, which means it's ionizing radiation applied to it.

This is in the US, so I'm not sure what the standards are in Taiwan, but I'm assuming if it's store bought, they would process it somehow.

If it is a truly green peanut, you can roast it in hte oven on low heat slowly for a while, or you can boil it.
