Hello everyone!
We are pleased to simplify the rules and regulations regarding the use of the status bar updates. Put simply, it will follow the Hamster Hideout Cafe rules. This announcement supersedes all previous rules on the use of the status update bar.
- You can now mention YouTube (or any other social media) related news, channels and celebs but direct links should not be posted
- No advertising of external sites (For example, "Come visit my website x-y-z", "I have a-b-c things for sale")
- No spamming (Treat each status update as a "topic". Just as you would not post a string of topics in HH cafe at once, do not post multiple status updates over the span of a few hours or minutes. As a general rule of thumb, your status should at least be buried from the first page before you post a new one. Give everyone a chance for theirs to be seen on the first page!)
That being said, I know there are a few members who had their status update ability revoked due to rule violation. Since that happened while the rule was in place, the ability removal will stay. When one month has passed, let me know and I will reinstate the ability for you. This is to be fair to the members who followed our previous rule.
Reminder:
- Only members with 50 or more posts can use the status update ability. No spamming to get there!
- YouTube links should only be posted at places with "YouTube videos allowed". Don't post them anywhere else, especially at Hamster Care!
Thanks for reading! Love your hammies!
