Hey guys, i found a vet to take my hamsters to. They said they have 1 female doctor who treats small animals. Im not sure if she's good though. Is it worth a try?

I just realised that the clinic I visit mainly isn't listed, so I thought it would be good to add on!
I live in Singapore, the clinic is:
The Animal Doctors
http://www.theanimaldoctors.com.sg/
There's two branches, at Ang Mo Kio or Tiong Bahru.
Appointment is preferred, but I've tried walking in and I didn't have to wait that long. You may make an appointment with a specific doctor as well. They'll let you know of the days the doctor is available.
Note: Walking in after 7pm has an additional charge.
For more serious illnesses or diseases, hamster owners may want to consult Dr Cathy Chan who is famous for treating exotic and small animals.
Reviews of Dr Cathy Chan can be searched up easily through Google~

For hampsty owners in the United Kingdom, North East region (Newcastle Upon Tyne and Northumberland) I highly recommend Alnorthumbria Vets. They have several surgeries throughout Northumberland - I went to the Ponteland surgery.
- Consultation is by appointment only and they also operate a 24 hour emergency vets (additional charges).
- Succesfully removed a large mass (like golf ball size.. :O ) from my dwarf hamster
- All the team I have met were so friendly and very caring
- Consultation was around £22 (which is in line with most vets in the area)
- Surgery for lump removal, antibiotics and pain relief plus 2x post-op check ups at 2 and 10 days post surgery cost just under £90 (which I think is fantastic best £90 I have ever spent

In my experience they have been amazing and I would highly recommend them for all your animals needs x

and that mass was indeed gigantic~~ it speaks to the skill of this vet that they were able to successfully remove one so large from a hamster, with no mishaps.

The veterinarian I take my Fancy Rats to is conveniently close to me, but I know people willing to drive hours for their service. It is called Specialized Care for Avians and Exotic Pets and they take in any exotic animal you could imagine. They even take in fish!
They are superb and I would definitely recommend them to those in the area.
Thanks for this recommendation! Would this vet have a website so other members can find out more about them, including directions to their facility?
These types of personal recommendations are definitely the best ones.

The Center for Avian and Exotic Medicine is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and specifically ONLY treats exotic pets (birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, basically anything that isn’t a cat or dog). They’re very experienced in this case, but unfortunately also fairly expensive. Their site is here: https://avianandexoticvets.com/
If my hammy had a serious issue, it’s the first place I’d think to bring her!
The NYC Humane Society offers affordable veterinary care for all animals. They specifically offer exotic pet care as part of their clinic services, so there should be at least one vet there experienced with small animals.
