Oooohhhh!

 

 

This is really upsetting. It's gonna very difficult for people to chat and know each other at all now..... Well, there's obviously no use rebelling XD but this hurts a wee bit much.

 

I know I'll miss the status bar the most.... now members can't really chat!

So, I have a quick question, would it be possible for us to make a topic called 'Free Chat' (or something else) where it would basically be like the status bar (post stuff going on) but have some rules? (no spamming and stuff)

I support the moderator's decision. I agree though that the status bar was a good part of the Forum.

It was a way for us to say how our day's been or how we're feeling without having to make a big topic.

 

I understand why you have taken away these features and I respect that decision.

I think that would be hard to do because a while ago we had a thread called "Be the last person to post!" which was basically a free-chat thread and it was a pretty terrible idea.

Well, it won't be the same, but we could all make blogs! That way we can still talk to friends, make new ones, and update others about our lives! It won't be the same, but it's a solution

There were also enforced rules for the BTPTP thread...No one listened, so it was locked. 

And they also said that they didn't want the mods to have to babysit a thread 24/7. Which I can understand.

Not going to lie, I am pretty upset about the status bar decision as it was what made HH so unique and special to me. I party agree with the wacky board decision and obviously I 100%  respect the mods decision!

But even if its drama, we could still report it instead of shutting it down, and what about the lonely people and the other people that wants to express themselves to others?

I agree with the wacky board and the Rps , but the status bar....why? i never found any problems with it, and dusty, there will still be drama, like instead of using the threads as normal, people might use them as a way to dramatize   so....

To those of you who disagree with the removal of the status bar:

Many members have been unintentionally breaking Hamster Hideout rules in statuses recently. I've noticed tbiM20 especially has had to comment on and delete lots of status updates in he past week. The mods have been working hard lately, and the statuses have only added to this.

This would mean mods would have to be online a lot, and I know most, if not all, of them have jobs. I don't think it would work.
