Philippa Gregory, because she writes AMAZING books, (currently reading Wideacre again, and it's taken over my life!! Miss Beatrice is sooo evil it's unbelivable!) and she lives in my town! Her books are historical fiction :)

Also love Sarah Zettel, because she writes a mix of historcal fiction, fantasy, and magic :)

JK Rowling is OK to read, but her books are a bit of a no-brainer really.. (not to be disrespectful, but if you're in need of an easy read then she's for you.)

Also Athur Golden, author of Memiors.. Such a beautifully written novel!

Stephenie Meyer is my favorite, because she wrote the most awesome book ever, Twilight.

And JK Rowling is at a close second, because, who can't love Harry Potter?

My favorite author is definitely J.K. Rowling. I like her Harry Potter books the best because one, it's fantasy! My favorite genre x] and two, the books are really interesting and keeps my nose stuck in the book. I can't wait for her 7th and final book to be published!

Nicolapompicola totally agree with Sarah Zettel. I loved her stuff!!! hehehe...

I don't read many teen fantasy/sci fi anymore. it got too predictable (my reading lvl in above average at grade 12 when i was in grade 7...i'm now grade ten and fully in adult stuff)

I ADORE Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. i've spent 200 bucks to get all his books. I got the first as a B-day present,. and was sure i'd hate it, since it had a sword for the main plot. WRONG!!! it didn't completely revolve around a sword. it's got me addicted.

Jk Rowling is quite good, but she doesn't best Terry Goodkind for me. I luff his stuff!

Anne Mcaffrey has some stories i like. I especially like "Rowan" and "Damia"...and i love the "Powers that Be" collab series.

A recent one i read and adored (the whole trilogy) was "The Wayfarer Redemption" by Sara Douglass...one of my faves.

that's all i can think of atm...there are more...i've read half the fantasy/sci fi books in the adult section at my library O-o

I'm such a book worm...ooooh, i hope my DS story makes it!!!!!

*starts brainstorming on rewrite again*
