It's of course, everyone's decision whether or not to vaccinate, but I encourage everyone to keep their personal medical information private.

I agree with Kikya. It would probably be better to not post information like that. It is personal and can cause problems and very heavy judgement over differing opinions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it might be wise to keep that private if you want to avoid conflict.

Oh, I'm sorry! Here, I will ask Dusty to delete it (:
I see nothing wrong with it, you don't need to delete your post. You will of course get a bunch of anti-vaxxers and pro-vaxxers arguing, but I'd disagree that there anything wrong with just saying if you've been vaccinated or not. It's not really "personal medical information".... if I want to travel abroad or go to a concert or sports event or even into some clubs and pubs I have to be able to show my vaccine information, so it's hardly *that* private, is it?

Why yes I have been jabbed on the side of my right arm with a needle, did I gain magnetic abilities and or become a cyborg? Sadly no and for that I think I shall consider myself brocken.
I've found my 5G signal is better though, how's yours?

No fair. My phone lost its signal.
(It really did. I'm currently trying to decide what to replace it with.)

Actually, it's literally the definition of personal medical information, since he is in the US. (protected health information is considered to be individually identifiable information relating to the past, present, or future health status of an individual) Also, we shouldn't be encouraging children to share their personal medical information online with a bunch of strangers. Maybe he should ask his parents they thinks he should be sharing that information online with strangers?
If your medical information isn't private, you could always post all of your prescriptions and medical history online to share. What's your birthday? How much do you weigh, are you currently taking any medications?
Remember kids, what you share on the internet stays forever.

I'm not trying to get underage kids to shar medical info, I'm just saying that it's literally NOT personal if you're vaccinated or not. At least here. You need to show your proof to do basic things. I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but it's a fact. You have to say whether you are vacced or not. I have no idea what the US laws on this are.
There is a slight difference, also, between "posting all of you prescriptions and medical history online to share", my birthday, how much I weigh, current medications...",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, vs. just saying "Yeah I'm vaccinated". None of those thing affect the lives of anyone else. Except one.
If I'm prescribed drugs for ADHD, I'm overweight, my birthday is 12 November, I'm currently heavily dosing on steroids............... yeah sure, this is info that people on the internet shouldn't have about me (no, it's not true, obviously). but that's s different category to people harmlessly chatting in a topic about whether they've had one specific vaccine (note that they've probably had a load of others previously).

You are right that you don't know what the US laws are and yes vaccination status is considered personal medical information in the US and many other countries. Kids should not get the wrong idea that it isn't private. It's very much private and it's very much protected information. As someone whose worked in both the medical field and in Human Resources, if I go around telling other people your vaccination status, I can be criminally and civilly held liable.
They probably have had a lot of other vaccinations in their lives, but they don't go around posting online which vaccines they have taken. Why should this one be different? I don't see anyone making posts about whether or not they got a tetanus shot (which you shouldn't!).
The point is Kids, do not take sharing your medical information lightly. It is absolutely private and since this forum has rules against sharing private information for underage children, I highly suggest to kids that you THINK about what you are sharing and how things can affect you down the road in ways you may or may not be able to foresee.

I'm pretty sure that you can only be held liable for talking about someone else's medical information if you are working in healthcare. HIPAA only covers medical business/professionals disclosing information to a 3rd party not say a restaurant asking for vaccine status.
Yeah you should protect information up to a certain point but saying you are vaccinated literally means nothing, we have no way of even knowing if anyone is telling the truth it is the internet after all!

Agreed, info to everyone~: heads up: think about what you are sharing. However, for a lot of us, sharing vaccine info isn't a choice really. Also, for you, Kikya, nobody is asking you to "go around telling other people [your](other person's) vaccine status". It's just a topic asking for anyone who wants to share, to do so The only warning is that the OP has to be aware that there's going to be vaxxers and antivaxxers, but nothing aside from that breaks any forum rules
