i have counted only 3 whites and 2 dark grays, but there might be more that i just think is the same pup lol.
i can kind of recognize one of them though, i think. it's a bigger and fluffier white, gender unknown. they're recognizable because it seems like the fluff concentrates on their cheeks, so they have a fluffy little face.
i've been interacting with the pups lately, letting them nibble (and bite) my hand and gently picking them up so they get used to me. fluffy white seems to be the chillest, doesn't get so nervous when sitting in my hands, just nibbles (i know what their actual biting feels like haha) and ocasionally chatters their teeth, though very ocasional. both the grays are more timid. i'm trying to get them accostumed to me so it's easier in the future, as i'll inevitably have to hold them to sort their genders.
they are well fed! i saw the bigger gray pup stuffing their cheeks with mum today. https://youtu.be/j_c2R0gN6N4
they all seem very ok in terms of health. Quione had been picking a lot of coco barks and putting them inside the den, not sure why, but i know the pups (and her) love to chew on them. their teeth already feel like tiny needles
PS: I plan on taking Quione to a vet eventually. I think I'll wait until they're at least 3 weeks old to take her as I've read that's a time where they usually need her even less, as I can't take all 5 with the mum lol.

How's momma and babies?

How's momma and babies?
they're all fine! the pups already know how to drink water, eat seeds and some even climb to the soil box to play there. in fact i'm starting to suspect the whole "drinking too much water" thing might be actually because of the pups, but i'm not sure.

good afternoon!
i counted 6 pups; 4 whites and 2 grays. i am 90% sure this is the final number. :P
all whites are more curious while the grays are way more timid and skittish. in fact, i'm bonding with a particular white pup who i think might be a female. she's very calm and ok with me holding her even with her belly turned to me, and i actually let her eat a mealworm while in my hand, like a lil baby she tried to climb my shirt (i hold them next to my chest to prevent accidents), sniffed my nose, grooms herself while on me and licks my hand a lot.
question: my dad says i should give quione away w the other 5 pups and keep this one. it feels like a selfish decision. what do you guys think? (i can't keep both neither separated or together, too expensive)
we might have to unfortunately sell them to a petstore as my sister searched and there's a lot of ignored hamster adoption posts online here in brazil, which means that people don't adopt them but prefer to buy them from stores, so therefore the pups likely wouldn't get taken as well. i'll try, i promise, i'll ask around school, to my family members, place posters around etc but i genuinely think it won't work.
I have made some changes to the enclosure yesterday. first, i cleaned the area where they all pee and added more bedding in a corner where the soil box previously was, as i've seen both quione and the pups try to dig there unsuccesfully.
the pups are VERY independent, they make tunnels themselves, they get their own food and they know how to drink water (and yes they can reach the bowl), so my mom and i agreed it wouldn't hurt to add the wheel back. i did not add the sand bath yet as i do not know if it's safe already. i don't want them to suffocate. quione is still re-learning how to use the new wheel.
they made some hideouts now that there's more bedding, one close to the big den (just a hole w an entrance, some pups like to sleep there) and an entire nest below the small den, which i slightly modified by adding some objects to keep the house standing as i was scared that it could fall on them. i also added a tube to the new corner, like one of those "tunnel starters".
i feel like they are living very happily. we are still sorting out how to prep stuff for separating them from the mom and separating the males and females but hopefully we'll sort everything out soon

Do you have any friends who could be willing take care of them?

I guess I would try to keep both momma and baby but if I could only keep one, it would be momma since she'll be harder to adopt out.
Great job on the pups and keep up socializing them!

URGENT!!!!
im pretty sure i saw a pup try to get behind the other as in a mating pose. i grabbed the pup and after analysis im pretty sure its a male. i dont know how but i think they're trying to mate already. i did the whole separation thing but right now they are in two bowls, 3 females and 3 males, supposedly.
my anxiety is KILLING me right now and i still need to find out how to give them water, we dont have a good barrier to put in the middle of the big bin so they'll have to stay on bowls, and i'm terrified that i might have got the genders wrong and it will go from 6 pups to idk 12. they are not old enough to give them away yet. i'm also afraid they might kill each other. rn my mom is looking after them but im desperate. what do i do now? quione is alone in the enclosure now. please.

Are you able to get some plastic bins? To separate the males and females?
no, we only have one and rn we can't buy anything, my mom left her job and my father REFUSES to buy anything hamster-related.
we can't give them water, they throw themselves inside the bowl, EVERY SINGLE TIME. i'm gonna leave and buy bottles on the petstore in my street rn, brb.

Ah! I hear that hamsters sexually mature very quickly. Since they don't have the longest lives, their process is a lot speedier than we may think.
A few things... I would urge you to do anything BUT give these hamsters to a pet store. If you can, reach out to members in your community or put up a flyer! It could be a great way to make more in-person friends. In the meantime, it would be good to separate the males from the females (if you can tell which ones are which) and just keep doing the amazing job you have been. You certainly didn't ask for this, but you're doing great and you'll look back on this as a special time in your life!
If I was in Brazil I'd totally take a few babies off your hands <3

Maybe try getting a piece of cardboard and dividing the bin. It’s not as ideal as having two bins but at least it will keep them from mating.
quione is alone in the enclosure now
Also what do you mean by Quione being alone in the enclosure?

This is all really unfortunate. I hope you can convince your father to at least get another bin-- they're not that much money, and you can use it after your hamsters get rehomed.
