Chapter One: The Newcomer
My fur started tingling as my prey was in sight. I positioned myself, ready for action. This was the moment, I knew it. I immediately lunged myself after my next meal, but a strong force hammered on me; I felt like the sky was falling down as something like pebbles hit my eyes.
“Boba, I wasn’t done pouring your seed mix!” Giant human giggled. So I sat there covered in shame…and mung beans, and millet, and freeze dried chicken-but that’s not the point. Go on, human. Laugh at my pain. I will be here stuffing my beautiful cheeks thinking of a plot to revenge.
“Aww, you look like you need a hug!”
I do need a hug, human. But not from you. However, soon the ground below me seemed farther and farther away. It made me sleepy, however I saw a sight I had never seen before. A blurry thingy about two feet in front of me. And inside that blurry thingy was a brown blob. According to the human her name was Hazel. Another creature? Another hamster? Was she trying to replace me? Then soon I realized that Hazel was a girl name. A girl hamster?! I had come to the realization that she wanted to….breed me?! No! Absolutely not! I hate other hamsters! My cage mates from the pet store were the worst! As human put me back on my cage I couldn’t help but panic. Should I be flattered? I mean she did want a lot of other MEs running around. But the only me I like is me! I’ve heard the girls have cooties! I’ve heard from my cage mates before that their mates were out to destroy them! I don’t want a crazy ex! What was she thinking?! I heard the door close beside me. As I looked up I saw a tiny little crevasse. An amazing idea came into my tiny brain. I couldn’t breed with a dead hamster! I could feel my plot come into action when I scaled my water bottle and squeezed through the hole. There’s no way tiny blob could survive me! I quietly speed over to her cage. Let me tell you if I could vomit I would’ve. Her cage was all pink, and girly and…..bleh! I inspected the perimeters of her cage a little bit more until I found a giant hole in the bedding. Inside that hole was a clump of brown fur. I peeked a bit closed to discover that that in fact was the “tiny” blob. Actually it wasn’t tiny at all, it was twice the size as me. My plan wouldn’t work after all, there was no way I could face the giant. So I accepted me fate and sadly retreated. Soon enough a scratching noise came to my ears.
”Hello?” I heard an unfamiliar voice say. I squeaked loudly.
