Easy hamster pizza!!

You will need: Flour, water, mozzarella cheese, hamster safe veggies ( I used Spinach and carrot!) And an oven tray!

1. Preheat your oven to 325•f
2. Mix your flour and water until you have a dough.
3. Roll your dough into a ball and smash it flat to look like a thin circle, and put it on your tray.

4. Put your cheese and veggies on the dough.

5. Put the tray into the oven/ toaster oven and keep checking on it. (I don't have a set time, mine took around 7 minutes!)

Safe for hamsters, gerbils, DO NOT USE FOR GUINEA PIGS.

Okay, this thread is really ghost town now. I feel like I’m a little late to the party but here’s my favourite recipe (I took it from Victoria Raechel’s YT channel)

You will need:
Lukewarm water
Oats (use porridge oats if you don’t have normal ones)
Hamster safe fruit/veggies (the flavour of the treat)
Flour (Buckwheat and whole wheat is the healthiest but it’s fine with normal flour as well)
A blender
A baking tray
TINY cookie cutters (optional)

Method:
1. Put a bit of your chopped up fruit or vegetable into the blender with some lukewarm water.
2. Blend it up!
3. Put that mixture in a small bowl.
4. Take your oats and put about 1 or 2 teaspoons (it depends how much fruit/veggies you used) in.
5. Mix in roughly the same amount of flour.
6. Add in more flour or oats until you have a doughy consistency.
7. Roll it out and use super mini cookie cutters or mould the shapes yourself. They should be the right size for your hamster to hold.
8. Bake in the oven at 165°C for 10 minutes.
9. Take them out
10. Give them to your hamster!
I hope you enjoy this, it smells really good if you do it with banana and my hamster loves these treats!
Obviously don’t give them too often, as with any treat.
Thanks for reading this, if you do!!

RECIPE:

Blend up roughly 2 parts spinach to 1 part water. When you have a smoothie thing, add 1 part flour-1-2 eggs (/////////you can choose) to the mix. Blend, adding more flour, oats, or a few fruits, veggies, or meat till its a dough.

On a baking sheet at 300F, place peices of your dough (You choose the size) and cook for 5-10 minutes, or till hard.

Serve.

Note: You may substitute spinach for a different fruit/veggie.

I have a question. I have my first hamsters(got them a month ago) and I have a guinea pig for several years. Is it ok to feed my hamsters with guinea pig's mix? She eats grass(I don't think they will like it) and special mix for guinea pigs, but I wonder is it different from an ordinary store mix for hamsters?

NO. Guinea pig food is high in fiber, and hamsters need protien. Guinea pig food is NOT ok for hamsters

Do you need help finding a food? You can create a thread for it :) Guinea pig food is mostly pellets, and hamsters need variety. Guinea pig food could kill a hamster early, pawsibbly.

EDIT-On a side note, I hope you don't mind but Guinea pigs should always be kept in pairs or more.

Hello! I don't know if anyone posted this recipe yet, but it looks very interesting and hamsters seem to like it! Its a recipe from the singapore hamster society and is called "tamago boro" ( sorry if i spelled it wrong) https://www.hamstersociety.sg/hamster-care-blog/2019/3/23/tamago-boro-egg-biscuit-recipe

Anyway, the ingredients are:

70g potato starch (about like 9 tsp)

10g flour (about 1 1/4 tbsp)

10g dry milk (powdered milk)

1 egg yolk

6-7 tsp of water

Anyway I hope you like these! (If you make these for yourself you can add some sugar :) )

I think it would be a neat idea for people to show off some of the treats/recipes they make for their hamster!

I haven't done mine yet, but you could look to this site for ideas: Cookin' for Lucy

So please, any time you create a Recipe -- SHARE! :lovestruck: We'll have spoiled hamsters across the globe!

I really like these ideas:)
