Well, since we have an Agony Aunt board, why not have a thread devoted to talking about the positivity in our life? :goodvibes: You can write about anything that makes you happy, from something small like getting an A on a test, to something huge like getting your dream job. Just make sure it's happy!

Today was a great day for me!
One of my best friends, who moved away to San Diego in 6th grade, told me today that she's going to visit during spring break! I haven't seen her in 5 years (since 5th grade, because she's a year older than me and was in middle school when I was in elementary), and I can't wait to meet up with people from our old class and have fun at the mall or park or whatever.
And while walking Maple, I stopped and said hi to our neighbors. They'd just gotten a new dog (well, 2 months ago, but I'd only seen him now). He's a year old and looks like a cocker spaniel mix; I think Maple will love having a playmate who lives near us! And our neighbor was awesome too, she didn't speak English very well but I could tell she was excited and eager about dogs. It'll be great to get to know them and Mojo later on.

This is pretty small but Coco does it every day and it makes me so happy:

I always call up to her at night so she knows I'm coming up and when she hears my calling she gets right inside her tiny OVO cage (The easiest one to get her out of) and practically bounces off the walls. :D

Thanks HH! ;D Princesshamster, that is so sweet! I've never been that close with one of my hamsters before.

I love how Maple is making huge strides at the dog park. She used to be so timid and shy but she is a lot more confident now. Before, she would just shadow me and occasionally go chase another dog, but yesterday and today at the park, she wandered much farther away (it's kind of funny that some people actually *want* their dogs to stick closer to them...not me! :P Within reason of course) and went off to play without needing to check in with me constantly.

Since I usually only post negative stuff, I thought I would post the most positive thing that has happened to me in a long time! Its a very long story so feel free to skip it!

Since I was 7, I have had pains with walking. Wasn't too bad at that time, but ever since, it has been getting worse and the pain spreading. Now its my hips and everything below.

I was 18 when I had to quit my favourite job as I just couldn't do the amount of walking it needed. I ended up being out of work until last year. I did have a few unpaid jobs during that time. It was then when I first found out by accident about my hypermobilty, but no one seemed to know anything about it. The physio tried her best, but it didn't help. I just shrugged it off and stayed off my feet as much as possible. But I ended up getting depressed because where I just didn't go out, and having that negative mindset seemed to make the pain worse.

October 2011 I was in hospital for something completly unrelated. The neurologist whos care I was under whilest there suddenly come out with, you know your hypermobile right? I was in shock at how he knew as it wasn't on my hospital records! He said that he could tell from the way my arm was bent backwards. He then started telling me about the problems it comes with and how they matched so many of my problems! I had been talking to another patient in the same ward as me relised so much with her, I had the same! We got talking and she said that I must see this Prof Grahame to get the correct treatment as he is one of the few that know much about it.

Time passes and my GP says theres no such person even though I gave them the hospital he works in and everything. They then decide he does exist but they can't send me to see him. Instead I got refered to a adolesent/young adult rheumatolgist. Shes ok. She found that my hips are slightly deformed. However I am waiting to see her in may to find out what to do about them.

So to get back on track, today I receive a letter to book an appointment for rheumatology. I called them and I found out that it is with this prof Grahame! The doctor who people travel around the world to see! And I only live within a 30 minute train ride! So I was all happy about finally getting the correct drugs and answers. The woman who I was speaking to was lovely. She said there was a cancelation for tomorrow. She told me the time and asked if I could make it. I could. She had to check with her boss that she could book it for me as usually they have to have 24 hours notice. She could!

I am so happy that I am finally getting somewhere, and hopefully can become less relient of fistfuls of pills to get me through the day. And the fact that he sees few NHS patients, most of them are private, but I am one of the lucky NHS patients! And even better, I don't have to travel half way round the world to see him! We have a very happy Amy today!

Anyway, thats the end of the very long story. Cookies to anyone who managed to read it all!

I love this thread, what a great idea!

Yesterday I got the go ahead from my parents to start Sam on a raw diet. I then checked my e-mail and got a response from an ad I placed and a woman has a grocery bag full of meat for me to pick up tomorrow. Upon going through the family's 2 chest freezer's I found 90-100lbs of meat that Sam can have. I am just so excited to finally get Sam on a great diet!

Taken out of context, this is terrifying.

That's so great though! It's awesome that your parents let you do that! :D

I am SO happy for all of you!! :) What great news. Shadow that is wonderful, you must be over the moon with finally getting some answers from a good doctor! CH, best of luck with the raw diet! I've heard it's the best thing!

Ahh I'm over the moon because Wonton is doing so well tonight. I really had my doubts, to be honest, but he's been acting so normally again tonight and getting around nicely! :D :D *HAPPY!*

Oh my this made me laugh so hard!

Lot's of good stuff happening right now :) I'm about to have a one on one driving instructor to teach me how to drive and get my license. Once I have my license I'm going to get a job (hoping to work at a pet store) I also plan to expand Poptart's cage in the next week or two.

I'm extremly happy that I'm about to get my first full length novel done sometime this month and I'm just super excited for my trip in July; also when I get back from my trip to OR during that week I'll be making Serenity another bin cage to connect to her current which I hope she loves. She's such a spoiled little hamster. :valentine: :heartbeat:  Also, I feel like slow dancing right now.
