This is one of the best topics for pre-taming :)  Love it! Thanks, Mika! :D

Great post! Dot was really skittish and wouldn't even let me stick my hand in the cage! But now she lets me stroke her back, I just need to work on handling her.

Brilliant advice, my Syrian is now 5 months old, he has been very calm and gentle during the taming process, but in the last couple of weeks he has been very skittish and unpredictable, he hates being cupped and will try to jump.. I can't think of anything I've done to upset him, but who knows? Gonna take it back to the bath tub method I think!

Great topic! When my sister got Missy it took everything I had to make her leave the hammy alone for three days. Missy is very cuddable now.

Thanks for the info! I adopted a winter white, about four months old, yesterday and i want to hold her soooo bad.  Now that I know the good it will do to let her ajust, it makes me feel much more comfertable.

Just a helpful tip, if your hamster bites and your trying to tame it, you should wear a glove. :)

Wow this helped a lot! If they are in a pair wherever you got them should you get both? Or just get one and leave the other?

My Hamster is confident enough for me to pick him up and he is only 7 weeks and 2 days old from the date i brought him home from the pets at home store. They said he is roughly 7-10 weeks old when i got him so yeah.
