Can you take hamsters over the border? Do you need to file special papers for that or something?

I did'nt know you can get higgins at Global pet foods! I will have to look :D This topic is super helpful for those of us in Canada!!

Hamsters over the border shouldn't be an issue.  I know you can import them directly from Europe without any specific license or permit, but they land at a customs port in either Florida or California.  From there, you either have to pay a trans-shipper to get them directly to you, or go pick them up.

You can get Higgins at Petland but shipping shows as $17.60 for me.

Just Thought to also Mention that Here in Canada we also have Pet Value, They do not have much Catered toward Hamsters, But they have A LOT catered toward rabbits and Guinea pigs, but a lot of what they carry is also suitable for Hamsters mainly the chews
