I had another topic for this but I kinda lost it. Anyways, I recently got in to baking/cooking again, and its oddly relaxing, so I figured I would share some good recipes
Garlic Knots- https://tasty.co/recipe/garlic-knots
You may need to heap the last half cup of flour, and eyeball the butter instead. There also good in ANY shape, lol. I made these and they lasted 15 minutes (please note I live with 4 people and I only got one). 9/10 for the recipe needing a lot of adjusting butter wise. You may also want to broil for thr last few minutes if your didn't get brown, and put a half teaspoon of garlic powder in the dough. I replaced half the salt with garlic salt.
Lemon Cakkkkkkeee- https://anitalianinmykitchen.com/lemon-cake/
For this, you can use any pan. If you use a bundt pan, use this then scrape the edges after cooling- https://www.ifyougiveablondeakitchen.com/grease-cake-pan-release/
For the milk and oil I just measured out the oil, took a picture/marked where it ended, added it to the recipe, then same with the milk. If you put out the lemon, eggs, and milk then mix the flour and let it sit for a little over an hour, it works P E R F E C T. My milk was slightly cold and I made it all by hand, though. I was planning on glazing but I'm lazy and just did powdered sugar with some yellow decorating powder, and a few sprinkles. Anyways, I made it super quick, I could put most of it in the dishwasher (and handwash the rest while it baked), and the decorating was easy as well. It tastes amazing, though I may add a tiny vanilla or lemon extract for a hint more flavor next time. I made this today and its amazing (theres only half left lol).
Just some recipes I made recently. I don't bake a lot (right nowww), but I do want to start a bakery or something as an adult. Pastries, and cakes are what I prefer to do because I like how creative I can be with it, though I'm trying to try more food things. I have plans to make some apple turnover-pop tart hybrids tomorrowish, and cupcakes on thursday
